Your Impact

Reporting to the Head of Public Affairs and Communication New Zealand, if you love the diversity of a varied workday, then this Communications Manager role could be right up your alley.

Day to day, you’ll:

• Work alongside a small, tight knit team that takes their work seriously but doesn’t take themselves too seriously. We support each other and always there to help one another. The team is well respected within the business and connected into a network of other Public Affairs, Communications and Sustainability colleagues across parts of Europe, Australia and Indonesia.
• Enjoy building and maintaining positive relationships with different stakeholders – this includes both people within our business and outside it.
• Working with our Sustainability colleagues to find ways to engage our people across the business in the work CCEP is doing in this space to build knowledge and pride. This includes managing our quarterly Sustainability Newsletter email send out and maintaining our internal “Sustainability Hub” with the support of the Sustainability team.
• Finesse and deliver a clear internal comms strategy linked to wider business goals.
• Manage media inquires and work with the subject matter experts to provide a response. You’ll also help manage our trade media program throughout the year.
• Be the subject matter expert on all things communications within our business and provide support for other functions/teams within CCEP NZ

Key to this role is your ability to hold often contradictory things at once – you’re humble but quietly confident, an optimist with a healthy dose of scepticism, a realist with a real passion for driving towards the bigger picture and love helping others but with the ability to say no.

About You

You will be an exceptional communicator with the ability to deliver your thinking concisely. You’ll have proven ability to prioritise, coordinate, and execute complex projects in a fast-moving business often with only parts of the full picture/info. You’ll be curious and a problem solver to find out how to get what you need. You will not just get the job done, but get it done the right way by taking people on the journey, ensuring win-win outcomes and having some fun along the way.

Ideally, you’d have a strong working understanding of the NZ media landscape from TV and print to digital and social. It will really tip the scales in your favour if you have experience in communications or a similar field and have a tertiary qualification in communications or related discipline. It would also be an advantage if you have experience in a fast-moving complex business.

Over and above everything else, you’ll not only be good at building relationships, but you’ll genuinely enjoy working with others too. The strong relationships with our wider team will be critical to success in this role.

Also having an opinion, preferably a strong one, on the best noodle joint, burger bar, gastro pub or high end restaurant in New Zealand wouldn’t hurt. You’ll be joining a team of foodies.
