About the Role

As Systems/DevOps Engineer you will be responsible for designing, developing and testing effective systems solutions to meet Codafication’s internal and external requirements with a focus on automation and continuous improvement.

You will also manage Codafication’s systems and networks; troubleshooting and resolving system errors and inefficiencies to ensure that the systems are running smoothly and effectively.

Your day-to-day duties will include;

• Deploy, manage, and administrate existing/new CICD tools
• Analyse, monitor, and report on key infrastructure and network metrics and diagnostics
• Continual enhancement of orchestration tools to ensure consistent server builds and change management
• Build programmatic tools for automation and orchestration
• Advise on infrastructure design, network architecture, technology selection, security/encryption and the best way to implement solutions
• Investigation and troubleshooting of technical issues as escalated from the support team
• Contributing to projects within an agile team environment

About you

As our successful candidate, you will demonstrate;

• Knowledge and experience with:
  • Kubernetes and related technologies (Docker, Helm, EKS, etc)
  • Cloud infrastructure (AWS or Azure)
  • Creating & managing CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Semaphore, CircleCI, etc)
  • Automating deployment & provisioning processes (Terraform, etc)
  • Linux administration
  • Some scripting/programming (Bash, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, etc)
  • Monitoring & related tools (Elastic, Splunk, New Relic, etc)
  • Understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc)
• Passion for technology and desire to develop new skills
• Enjoys working and collaborating as part of a high performing team
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal skills
• Availability for 24/7 support as required
