Zetron, a Codan company, looking for a communications engineer to join our Agile team in testing Zetron hardware and software components and their integrations into communications solutions. About the role?

As a member of our Agile team, you will work to apply quality early and throughout the development process.
Duties would include:

• Perform manual and automated testing of computer systems and hardware interfaces in an agile environment
• Build and maintain a lab environment including 3rd party equipment, network, and PC systems
• Document deficiencies (logging bugs) and test their resolution
• Contribute your expertise (SME) to extend manuals and aid support
• Understand technical specifications, write test cases based on design specifications, and execute test cases
• Working with team on Project25 (P25) interface testing
• Analog calibration and verification
• Help in producing automated test cases with team of SDETs

What makes a successful Test Engineer?

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Radio Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or related field experience
• Preferred agile testing experience or waterfall testing experience with ability to learn agile
• Experience in HW/SW System Development environment and the related tools
• Background in radio or telecom would be very helpful with IP networking expertise
• Analog, TDM, and VoIP experience
• Passion for Software testing, quality assurance, and solutions testing
• Debugging and troubleshooting skills is a must
• Software development experience in structured or scripting languages like PowerShell, Python, and/or Java Script is a plus
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with geographically distributed teams
• Experience with bug tracking/requirement tracking systems is a plus
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and accurately.
