Codex Group Hiring for Remote Medical Scribe (Night Shift) – Emergency Department at United States Full Time

The Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Remote Medical Scribe for our Night Shift team serving the Emergency Department. This role involves providing real-time documentation of patient encounters, ensuring accuracy and completeness in medical records. As a Medical Scribe for Codex Group, you will work closely with emergency medicine providers to facilitate patient care and enhance workflow efficiency.

The Remote Medical Scribe fulfills the above duties while working from home. This is a concurrent and live position, meaning you’ll be on a live call with the provider throughout the duration of your shift. You will witness and document on patient encounters in real-time. Because the call is live, you’ll have the opportunity to ask the provider questions when clarification is needed. Calls are typically muted when not actively observing a patient encounter or when receiving clinical course updates from the in-person care team.

Job Responsibilities

• Document patient histories, physical exams, and treatment plans in real-time during emergency department visits.
• Assist healthcare providers by ensuring accurate and timely entry of patient information into electronic health records (EHR).
• Capture and document patient assessments and orders during emergency procedures and clinical interventions.
• Communicate effectively with medical staff to gather and clarify information as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations while handling all patient information.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months of experience as a medical scribe, particularly in an emergency department setting.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology and clinical workflows.
• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Excellent writing and communication skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work night shifts and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
• You must reside in one of the following states for work from home:
• Florida
• Georgia
• Illinois
• Mississippi
• Missouri
• Nevada
• Tennessee
• Texas

We Are Seeking To Fill One Full Time Position (or Equivalent Part Time Positions) That Is/are Available To Cover The Following Shifts On CENTRAL TIME

— 10pm to 6am (OVERNIGHT), weekdays with at least two full weekends availability per month—

• Medical students or healthcare practitioners without dedicated scribe experience

Compensation: From $15.00 to $18.00 per hour
