Coding Dojo Hiring for DevOps Associate Instructor at Remote, United States Full Time

DevOps Instructor – This is a remote work position working overnight hours in the US to teach students in the Arabia time zone

Associate Instructors (formally called backup instructors) are expected to be present and attentive as if they are the lead instructor for the classroom. They are responsible for monitoring multiple classrooms and assisting the lead instructor as necessary.

In the event of an emergency or complications causing the lead instructor to miss a class – the associate instructor should expect to take over the classroom for that day/hour and run the class as if they were the lead instructor. During this time, the associate instructor becomes the lead instructor.

Responsibilities:

+ + Responding to emails for the cohort (daily)

• Reviewing lecture content and preparing to instruct the class if needed (daily)

• Taking attendance (if TA is not present, daily)

• Assisting with the morning session (daily)

• Assisting with the afternoon session (daily)

• Moving through breakout rooms to assist students (daily)

• Reviewing and leaving feedback on assignments (daily)

Required Education, Experience, Abilities:

• Real-world experience in the design, implementation, and testing of software and services in a commercial hosted cloud

• environment (such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform)

• CI/CD workflow mastery

• Expertise in one or more of the following: Test Engineering, Selenium, Cucumber, Gherkin, Appium, Jenkins, Protractor.

• Expertise in one or more of the following: Kubernetes, Docker, Prometheus, Configuration Management, Splunk, Ansible, or other technologies.

• Bachelor’s degree

• Excellent communications skills, both oral and written

Minimum Requirements:

• Associate Degree in Information Technology or related discipline.

• 3 years of industry experience related to virtualization, system administration, storage, or cloud computing.

• Demonstrated experience in teaching that would include one or more areas of mentoring, industry training, online, or classroom instruction.

• Industry certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect, AWS DevOps Engineer, Azure Solutions Architect, Azure DevOps Engineer, or Google Cloud equivalents. Preference will be given to Azure experts. This position is full-time and remote (maybe working standards hours or non-standard hours that may include overnight hours and weekends)
