Summary:
This key operations position reports to the Snow Camp Supervisor. It encompasses the day-to-day scheduling and dispatching of all snowplows including preparation of schedules to meet contract obligations. This position works closely with drivers, maintenance, and office staff. A key aspect of this role is striking the balance between meeting contract requirements and maintaining an efficient operation. Reinforcing and sustaining The Miller Group’s focus on safety and industry leading equipment appearance is an essential component of this position.
As a Dispatcher, You Will:
- Route, schedule, and all aspects of dispatching
- Dispatch of Salt & Plow trucks to support winter works operations
- Assist in the supervision of the driver group
- Enforce and adhere to Company policy and procedures
- Distribute, collect, and review drivers Hours or Service & Vehicle Inspection Reports
- Review driver routes via GPS to ensure drivers are using correct applications rates & completing routes properly.
- Data entry on company systems
- Maintain fuel usage reports
- Complete reports as per Company standards
