We are currently looking for an Education Support Coach to lead and provide small group interventions. Through a blend of paired and small group work, you will support the development of social, emotional, and behavioural strategies amongst identified learners within the curriculum area of Foundation, Supported Learning and ESOL.
The successful applicant will have significant recent experience of supporting learners who have barriers to learning and/or learning difficulties and or disabilities.

Purpose Statement:
To plan, source and develop appropriate materials to support students in developing self-regulation, resilience and strategies to be able to use in College and in life.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
1 To lead and provide paired and small group (2- 5 identified students in each intervention session) coaching and support with a focus on Social, Emotional, Behavioural interventions.
2 To plan, source and develop appropriate materials to address identified needs via interventions including developing self-regulation, self-awareness, resilience and strategies to use in College and in life.
3 To support students to develop independence and skills in navigating aspects of learning and life this could include: study, learning, self-regulation, thinking, social, learning and life skills.
4 Alongside the Course Leader support a clearly agreed and identified student case load ensuring a good awareness of individual needs using coaching/mentoring techniques to develop the students understanding of self and situations.
5 Alongside the Course Leader support and monitor the progress of all students within case load.
6 To participate in staff development relevant to the role, including the potential opportunity to enrol and participate on the Level 3 Award in Education and Training.
7 Follow up on attendance issues of your named case load students keeping the Course Leader informed of issues and or concerns.
8 To, at all times, maintain high expectations of learners’ work, commitment, and behaviour, acting to ensure the highest of standards are met for all learners
9 To complete all associated administrative paperwork and duties accurately and in a timely manner, including to meet quality, funding and audit standards.
10 To work with College support teams including the Welfare and Safeguarding Team to support the students and engage in support meetings and College processes surrounding welfare and wellbeing.
11 To support the course leader in student transition planning and activities to further study and destination goals.
12 Adhere to and promote the College’s Safeguarding, Equality & Diversity, College Values and Health and Safety policies and practices.
13 To undertake any other associated duties determined by the college.
