Job Summary

Position Summary The hiring team builds and operates applications covering a wide range of payment and billing needs including data processing on the back-end to reusable payment components for the front-end. Responsible for participating in the full agile software development lifecycle – attends stakeholder requirement discussions, provides estimates and high- level solutions, designs new solutions, develops software and tests in Java/Scala/Spark/Typescript to run on multiple cloud environments (public and private), reviews code changes from other team members, supports code deployments, and provides monitoring and support of existing applications. Identifies improvement opportunities to mature delivery, operational, and overall Comcast processes. Collaborates with other development team members to understand business problems and implement solutions.

Core Responsibilities

• Evaluates and plans software designs, test results, and technical documentation.
• Develops solutions in a combination of following programming languages – Scala, Java, Javascript, Typescript. Quick to pick up new languages.
• Writes tests for unit and system testing.
• Provides monitoring and support of existing applications on public and private cloud environments.
• Supports consuming teams by answering questions, researching and resolving issues, and guiding through onboarding processes.
• Utilizes multiple development tools to build, deploy, and store code and documentation (Gradle, NPM, VSCODE, Intellij, Concourse, and Github).
• Deploys and manages Apache Spark jobs running on Databricks.
• Understands security and payment card industry compliance standards.
• Flexible and can respond quickly to change.
• Works well in a distributed, team-oriented environment.
• Good communicator – written and verbal.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Analyzes and determines integration needs.
• Reviews literature, patents and current practices relevant to the solution of assigned projects.
• Edits and reviews technical requirements documentation.
• Displays knowledge of engineering methodologies, concepts, skills and their application in the area of specified engineering specialty.
• Displays knowledge of and ability to apply, process design and redesign skills.

• Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.

Salary:

National Pay Range: $63,658.05 USD-$149,198.56 USD

Comcast intends to offer the selected candidate base pay within this range, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience.
