Responsibilities
MercyOne Internal Medicine Clinic in Urbandale is looking for a Manager to join their team. The Manager is responsible for the operaÂtion of the clinic including all planning, organizing and directing of all activities of the facility and often functions as a working manager fulfilling one of the functional areas of the clinic.

What you’ll do:
Promotes personal growth/development and understanding among staff members in specific areas.
Trains and monitors staff to ensure that protocols in specific areas comply with federal/state regulatory agencies as applicable.
Monitors and maintains licensure certification requirements for assigned staff are met.
Creatively seeks new ideas to stay within budget guidelines while constantly improving the quality of health care delivered.
Works with physician, Medical Director or Director of Operations in regard to budget and operational guidelines within the clinic.
Assists in preparation, monitors, and adjusts budget and staff
Implements and monitors clinic objectives, policies, procedures, standards, and educational programs in conjunction with the mission and the philosophy of Mercy Clinics, Inc. and Mercy Medical Center-Des Moines
Works with Clinic Administration and other managers to develop and implement best practices to address identified potential barriers or new opportunities.
Develops and maintains quality assurance programs, i.e. nursing, accounting
Proactively analyzes clinic operations to identify barriers or new opportunities
Serves as liaison between physicians and Clinic Administration, promoting understanding and agreement in regard to future goals.
Directs, motivates, and evaluates activities of clinic employees, ensuring that clinic goals and expectations are met.
Assists in personnel activities that include interviewing, hiring, evaluating, counseling and terminating. Responsible for directly evaluating and/or disciplining staff members.
Ensures that patient concerns are addressed and that appropriate and timely follow-up is performed.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree and minimum of 3 years leadership experience OR minimum of 5 years leadership experience in the discipline OR Master’s Degree and no experience
