Your teams mission is to provide the end-to-end automation of network services which unites all technologies and allows teams to deliver products in a safe, secure and agile fashion.

The Software Defined Networks team will be responsible for:

• API and wrappers over our existing network ecosystem tooling (IPAM)

• Capability creation to perform Network flow visibility and Network Policy Management inclusive of engineering and run functions.

• CI/CD integration to existing network functions including AWS, Azure and Vmware NSX Networking.

As a member of the Design and Engineering SDN team you will be the principle technical design, run lead and contribute to the technical aspects of the product, services and roadmap we deliver, from design to coding, deployment and operation, in a secure, compliant, and adaptive way.

You will be reporting to the Engineering manager, being part of a team of 7 and in a wider team of 15 and plans to grow more in the near future. Ultimately, you will be required to provide and lead expert engineering guidance across the Network portfolio in order to drive excellence, quality and performance for the IT service.

Do work that matters:

• Network Principle to support decision making on networking technologies.

• Developing new tools and integrating them within larger frameworks.

• Lead networking squad activities to align to service roadmap and schedule.

• Develop architecture and new product roadmaps to uplift CBA network controls

• Driving automation through understanding processes and implementing improvements.

• Measuring systems performance and working iteratively to identify key metrics to guide improvement.

We’re interested in hearing from people who are possess the following:

• Significant experience in a technical leadership position and managing a team of engineers.

• Must have excellent distributed systems experience engineering in programing languages JAVA, Python, C/C++

• Ability to influence senior leaders such as EM/GM level regarding the technology roadmap for Network technologies.

• Excellent presentation skills.

• Expert ability to lead and drive outcomes during high severity P1 incidents.

• Broad understanding of Networks, Layer 2-4 protocols, DNS, IPAM, Application Design, Proxies etc.

• Software engineering experience for 8 – 10 years minimum.

• Midrange and Cloud infrastructure design and operations

• Strategic technology leadership

• Expert level experience in IT architecture and design principals.
