As a Staff Software Engineer – Full Stack, you’ll provide technical strategic guidance, overseeing medium to complex engineering initiatives. Be responsible for nominated technical assets related to areas of expertise including roadmaps and technical direction. Mentor and up-skill other engineering teams across different squads and drive the team for complex troubleshooting activity.

Our Digital, Operations and Technology (DOT) team are responsible for the world-leading application of technology and operations across every aspect of the bank – from product platforms for our customers, to essential tools within our business.

Within DOT you’ll act as a trusted technology and digital partner, supporting product teams to optimise existing propositions, bringing the power of digital banking to every customer. You’ll work in an Agile environment and sit in a unique position at the intersection of many teams.

This is a hybrid role and the team usually comes into the office one/two days per week, and we are open to people based in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth or Adelaide.

We’re interested in hearing from people who:

• Are Back End or Full Stack Software Engineers, who enjoy the challenge and satisfaction of writing elegant and efficient code
• Create Restful APIs in accordance with industry standards, using C# .Net Core web API framework
• Have experience with source control and continuous integration systems (Git, Stash, TFS, TeamCity)
• Are appreciative of and understand software implementation best practices

Tech skills:

We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. We do not expect you to know them all but experience or exposure with some of these, or a willing to learn these skillsets (or equivalents) will set you up for success in this team!

• .NET Core, C#, .Net, SQL
• Building secure enterprise scale applications is useful
• Debugging skills; able to debug complex technical issues involving multiple system components
