As a Staff Software Engineer – Pega, you will be responsible for ongoing change and development of the Merchant On boarding and Maintenance. You will foster an environment of engineering excellence and a culture of ongoing improvement.
You will support critical programs of work in Retail Commerce Payments by designing and implementing solutions for business driven initiatives and technology uplift in the Merchant Management domain.
You will enjoy working in a hybrid agile development environment, running workshops and sprint ceremonies.

What will set you up for success in this role?
- You will support critical programs of work in Retail Commerce Payments by designing and implementing solutions for business driven initiatives and technology uplift in the Merchant Management domain.
- You will enjoy working in a hybrid agile development environment, running workshops and sprint ceremonies.

We’re interested in hearing from people who:
- Are ready work with internal and vendor teams to design, and implement technical solutions
- Provide advanced technical knowledge and experience to assist in resolving technology issues
- Take Responsibility for the development of strategic programs of work and Mentoring and Upskilling Engineering Teams
- Utilise strong understanding of core business and technical strategies to deliver best business outcomes
- Provide consultancy across projects and delivery teams and contribute to delivery planning with expert advice
- Take responsibility for nominated technical assets related to areas of expertise including roadmaps and technical direction
- Actively contribute to internal online discussions around software engineering, delivery and technology e.g. blog posts, knowledge base articles etc.
Tech Skills
We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. We do not expect you to know them all but experience or exposure with some of these, or a willing to learn these skillsets (or equivalents) will set you up for success in this team!
- Proven Pega Industry Experience
- CSSA/CLSA Certification
- Technical Leadership/Mentorship
- Designing, documenting and presenting formal solution designs
- Flows, Activities, User Interface, Flow Actions, Agents, SLA, Correspondence, Security, Reports, Listeners (File, MQ), Connectors etc.
- Pega integration services using REST, SOAP, etc
- Agile & Scrum Knowledge
- Payments Experience is highly desirable
