As a member of the Global Technology Services (GTS), you will contribute to all aspects of the technology products and services we deliver, from technical strategy and design to coding to deployment to operation. Our GTS products and services are leveraged across all Business Unit Platforms within the Bank to deliver industry-leading software including: CommBank App, Netbank, CommSee, CommSec, CommBiz and Commbank.com.au.

In this role, you will be involved in a combination of both BAU and project based work requiring you to not only work as part of a squad, but also liaise with external teams to not only provide support to the customer and look after the systems operationally, but also to set up CI/CD pipelines for the “customers”.

Do work that matters:

• Analyse systems and applications and provide recommendations for enhancement and development

• Contribute to the technical design of system enhancements

• Software development and quality control of software developed by geographically disperse team

• Work within in a team environment and provide assistance in the management and leadership of your team and complete associated tasks

• Follow release and change processes in the compilation and distribution of software builds and releases to development and test environments, as well as system updates into production

• Troubleshoot complex deployment and environment issues.

• Assist with preparation and documentation of deployment and configuration scripts for development, test and production environment

We’re interested in hearing from people who are possess the following:

• Experience as a Systems Engineer with demonstrable experience with Software Development in the automation space, creating pipelines

• Knowledge and experience in the area of application development and design specialisation

• Experienced working with cloud technologies (AWS or Azure)

• Scripting background (C#, Python, Go, Ansible)

• Automated tests should also be a part of your development workflow

• Demonstrated experience with continuous delivery technologies, CI / CD solution design and implementation: TeamCity, Octopus, GitHub, Artifactory, DevTest, Selenium Grid, SonarQube, XRay, Mobile Testing and Deployment, Checkmarx
