The Department of Corrections, Bureau of Administration is seeking a highly motivated, detailed orientated individual with excellent people skills to join our team as an Administrative Assistant 1.
As an Administrative Assistant 1 for the Department of Corrections, you will provide program and administrative support for Vehicle Management to the Bureau of Administration, Corrections.
You will assist with preparing documents related to the intake of new vehicles for the departments automotive fleet. You will utilize various applications and databases to manage the automotive fleet and ensure accurate and timely submittal of information. You will handle all preventative maintenance scheduling and report in-house repairs to DGS in a timely manner. You will also gather accident report information and repair estimates for all Central Office fleet to submit to DGS for repair approvals. You will serve as the agency’s PA Turnpike EZ Pass program liaison and maintain inventory of all EZ Passes utilized within the agency.

Work Schedule/Other Information
Work Hours – Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m.
This position is 37.50 hours per week.
This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 60 or 65.
You will have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time up to 2 days a week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Mechanicsburg.
Please Note: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $40,900 (before taxes).
Such training as may have been gained through graduation from a four year college or university
OR
Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
