Community Kitchen Pittsburgh is looking for an experienced and passionate individual to play a key role in growing our brand awareness at a pivotal time in our development. We are focused on creating career pathways and living wage employment in the hospitality sector, and our social enterprises provide us with both the revenue and the platform for this work. We want someone who can help promote these enterprises and our mission work to the public. Most importantly, we want people who understand that our charitable aims and our trainees are at the heart of everything we do and that all our activity is in pursuit of creating real change in the lives of people experiencing barriers to employment or to job advancement. We are a small agency, and the work is hands-on and varied.

Position Summary
This position will provide hands-on execution of initiatives designed to advance CKP’s mission, raise the agency’s profile, and increase revenues, through events, traditional and e-marketing, and social media.

Primary Goals and Activities for this position:

• Create content, including text posts, video, and images for use on social media and our website
• Promote products, services and content over social media, in a way that is consistent with our brand and social media strategy
• Schedule social media posts using applications such as Hootsuite
• Interact with customers and handle customers’ inquiries
• Write copy and layout for postcards, rack cards posters, and other print pieces. Design if experienced, or liaise with freelance designers.
• Manage inventory of print pieces and update / refresh as needed.
• Help coordinate internal and external digital and print materials for consistency and effectiveness of message.
• Help promote ties with the community.
• Take photos of events, and of day-to-day work in the agency for use in online and print promotions.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: * A knowledge of and an interest in the methods used to promote through social media is a necessity * Strong communication and presentation skills * Photo and video-editing experience * Organizational skills * An ability to multitask and work on a number of projects at once * Problem-solving skills
