He Angitūtanga / The Opportunity

We are seeking to appoint a Senior Operations Executive to lead our Defence, Offshore&Remote operations in New Zealand, taking full responsibility for ensuring successful performance across the sectors. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for driving and delivering operational excellence across the business including providing strategic and tactical values-based operational leadership across the teams with a focus on people, safety, financial performance, Client KPIs, and of course sales growth.

You will be working at Compass Group’s Support Office based in Palmerston North alongside many talented professionals from a variety of professions supporting our operational teams across New Zealand.

He Kōrero Mōu/ About You

The position requires an experienced and effective senior leader with solid experience as a senior-level operations executive within the service industry, preferably from within the food service/FMCG industry in a B2B2C service business or similar market. You will have extensive experience leading a large operational business within a rapidly changing high-growth sector.

• A team player with demonstrated ability to work seamlessly and collaboratively across different business functions to achieve the overall business goals;

• Highly results-focused with an excellent track record in executing agreed strategies and business plans to optimise overall business performance and growth;
• Proven ability to lead and manage a large and geographically distributed team through significant operational change.
• Demonstrated ability to negotiate and engage with a diverse range of people and stakeholders, both internally and with clients and other external stakeholders, to achieve positive relationships and win business outcomes.
