Job Summary

Do you enjoy managing projects and implementing new programs/systems? Are you interested in providing innovative dining solutions to customers? We are currently seeking a Food Service General Manager for the University of Alaska-Fairbanks, AK. Our General Manager will report to the Area District Manager and will work closely with our client while managing the daily operations of food production, and service at multiple dining locations on campus. This candidate must have a strong financial background, previous food service management experience, and be able to develop and maintain strong client relations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversees all P&L and budgeting as it pertains to the account
• Manages overall day to day operations of the account
• Conducts HR functions including hiring, progressive counseling, terminations
• Maintains excellent relationships with customers, guests and Client as well as other departments
• Works with the Chef and management team in creating menus and providing top quality food
• Rolls out new programs in conjunction with Company marketing and culinary team

Preferred Qualifications:

• BS, Hospitality or Culinary degree preferred
• Five years of foodservice operational/management experience
• High volume food production and catering experience is essential
• Previous experience managing and developing a budget
• Desire to learn and grow with a top notch foodservice company
