Job Description

Support of the data center and production infrastructure located within the data center facility. On occasion, you’ll be able to work remotely.

The Requirements

• Provide daily maintenance, and monitoring of systems/infrastructure within the data center and ensure optimal performance to meet established Service Level Agreements (SLA).

• Track and maintain inventory of components (copper & fiber patch jumpers, power cords, and optics) required to successfully complete HW installs.

• Collaborate with various internal technical teams to manage, deploy, and upgrade data center infrastructure and systems.

• Respond, support, and escalate trouble tickets related to data center infrastructure and system alerts/incidents.

• Support hardware installations as well as vendors conducting work within data centers (electrical, cabling, and security) with the proper monitoring and supervision during their interventions.

• Troubleshoot issues and provide solution options and recommendations.

• Aid other teams in the resolution of incidents within the scope of skill set.

• Ability to work and perform tasks during non- business hours and holidays.

• Must be willing to work outside of assigned hours of coverage to complete committed tasks.

• Ability to work a flexible schedule as afterhours and weekend work may be required.

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience in enterprise class data center operations, preferably in a global, multi-datacenter environment.

• Strong client service focus and ability to effectively communicate with clients as needed.

• Proven ability to troubleshoot and prioritize requests.

• Analytical problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.

• Proficient technical knowledge of hardware, hardware installation requirements, and hardware installation procedures.

• Familiarity with TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, WINS, Active Directory, and other related network protocols and services.

• Working knowledge of general data center audits and compliance requirements.

• Team player and able to work with technical peers and non-technical end users.

• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

• Self-driven and possess the ability to multi-task to meet strict deadlines.

• Experience working in a Data Center environment: racking & stacking equipment, cable management ext.

• Hands-on with infrastructure provisioning and server/network equipment deployments.

• Document and maintain an up-to-date inventory list of equipment, device and network connections.

• Knowledge of ITIL best practices.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $23.00 – $43.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekend availability
