Position Description
Conga is the #1 Salesforce ISV. The Technical Evangelist (TE) for Alliance is at the forefront of Conga’s global go to market strategy and operations with Salesforce. The Alliance TE plays a critical role in working with Salesforce, and Amazon Web Services (AWS), to engage and enable solution architects and engineers, help package new joint solutions, and support strategic sales opportunities. You will have a significant impact on Conga’s immediate and long term growth.
The TE works in partnership with the global Alliance Director, a global Partner Account Manager team, other TEs and Architects at Conga, and technical team members in all Salesforce Clouds. You will also have direct engagement with executives at Conga, Salesforce, and AWS.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Become certified on Conga products
- Contribute to a program vision while advising and articulating program/project strategies on enabling technologies. Provide proactive, Partner-specific Conga product management and use case engagement, and serve as interface between Salesforce, AWS, and Conga product management
- Technical Advisor to Partners C-Suite technical and practice management executives sharing a compelling technical vision leading to Partners committing to building new practices based on Conga’s technologies. TEs align partners technology roadmaps with Conga’s technology priorities and ensure the partner is enabled to bring new solutions to market that drive significant growth in partner and Conga revenues.
- Partner with internal Conga resources to ensure team alignment when working with the Partners
- Build and deliver custom product demonstrations which focus on key business drivers and functional requirements for potential customers for Partners
- Present Conga solutions and demonstrate the application via Web conference tools and face to face meetings
- Support Partners/Account Executives in production of high-quality technical content that helps drive revenue.
- Technical Readiness: Works with the Go-To-Market(GTM) team to invest in key Partners’ Technical Readiness workshops executed by Partner Enablement roles in the GTM team
- Technology Roadmap: With the help of cross-team technical resources including Architects and Industry specialists defines the technology roadmap for new Partner solutions, seeking Technical commitment and investment from Partner CTOs, CIOs, Product and Practice managers to invest in the Conga solutions
- Building Partnerships: Envisions the important interdependencies of 3rd party solutions, services, and equipment, as well as Partner-to-Partner motions for better together strategies among different partners and partner types
- Enablement Planning: Accountable for building the technical enablement plan for partners leveraging the Global Partner Services (GPS) Framework including On-boarding, up/cross skilling, Bootcamps, trainings, and meeting certification requirements
- Enablement Delivery: Seeking the help of internal Technical Architects, Industry specialists and Engineering teams for the delivery of workshops, Bootcamps, Partner Technical Summits, trainings necessary to build the technical skills and expertise of partners
- Partner Engagements: Oversees the success of Proof of Concepts and Architecture Design Sessions
- Launch Orchestration: Leads cross-technology team orchestration through the first mile, first 1-3 deals, to ensure partners are ready. Sees partners in action, giving feedback about ways to develop their skills, practices, and methods
- Technical Contributions, Events and Community Contribution: Attends Digital Transformation/Technology conferences such as Conga Connect. Participates in technical panels and user groups, provides insights, and contributes to work that is shared across communities such as the Conga Partner Community
Experience, Skills, Competencies
Required/Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business or related field AND 4+ years technical consulting, technical consultative selling, product development, or related technical/sales experience OR equivalent experience.
- Understanding of digital transformation business drivers, cloud platforms, emerging Cloud trends and their impact on customer opportunities.
- 3 – 5+ years of related working experience with software vendors or consulting firms in technology solutions/practice development, Cloud/Infrastructure technologies required.
- Knowledge of Conga platform preferable, with the ability to articulate the value proposition of Conga Solutions to partners.
- Project management, technical Sales, and technical account management.
- Understanding of industry plays, trends and how technology can address some of the industry challenges.
- Proven track record of building technical relationships with CXOs and building cloud consumption share in Software vendors.
- Extensive experience of leading virtual teams across functions and geographies and companies
- Inclusive and collaborative – driving teamwork and cross-team alignment.
- Strong partner relationship management and solution development skills.
- Strong executive presence including communication and presentation skills with a high degree of comfort to large and small technical audiences.
- Problem solving mentality leveraging internal and/or external resources, conflict resolution, and follow through with partners.
- Experience, Skills, Competencies 5+ years’ experience as a pre-sales engineer for an enterprise Quote to Cash, SaaS, or other software application
- Knowledge of working with, in, or managing a professional services organization, or working on large project teams
- Experience in teaming with system integrators
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong computer skills including Salesforce, Google Apps, MS Office, and web presentation tools
- A results-oriented approach which balances a “take charge, do-whatever-it-takes” attitude with teamwork and collaboration
- 3 – 5+ years prior experience selling B2B software solutions into targeted accounts a plus
- Recent experience selling CRM, salesforce.com, or Force.com partner solutions is a plus
- Experience configuring and delivering software demonstrations is a plus
- Experience selling either Product Pricing Configurators, Contract Management, Document Management, Revenue Management or Supplier Relationship Management or related products is a plus
Nice to have skills:
- Conga product experience: Revenue Optimization: Documents, Contracts, Commerce, and Delivery/Esign
- Salesforce Cloud Experience: Service Cloud, Industry Cloud: (HLS, Rev Cloud, Financial Services, Velocity)
- AWS GTM experience: Marketplace, Vertical Strategy, Technology Stack, Customer Feasibility

The first component of that package is compensation and, generally speaking, base pay is determined by market location for each role. The following information is provided in accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay Act. The general compensation target for this position in Colorado is $$180,938 per year. However, the base salary offered may increase (or decrease) depending on the candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to base salary, Conganeers receive a full range of perks and benefits, including financial, medical, and dental insurance. We also fund an annual bonus program, with payout based upon annual corporate performance and individual performance
