Connell Caldic Looking for HR Payroll Officer at Auckland, New Zealand Full Time

Background to the role:

The successful candidate will join Connell Caldic as Human Resources and Payroll officer to be based in our Mairangi Bay office in Auckland.

You will work closely with our Head of Human Resources for Australia and New Zealand to provide a positive employment experience for employees, whilst also maintaining HR and Payroll processes and practices. You will build on your experience as you provide guidance and assistance to managers in human resource matters; from recruitment and induction, culture and engagement, performance management, policy development and implementation.

Responsibilities:

• Support the recruitment process (sourcing, interviewing, assessments), while maintaining accurate and prompt documentation and service.
• Administer onboarding and offboarding processes, including conducting inductions and exit interviews.
• Administer and process employee monthly and weekly payroll.
• Payroll administration. Perform regular filing and maintenance of payroll related information
• Timesheet Management.
• Ensure compliance with legislation and foster positive employee relations.
• Maintain accurate employee records, compliance and reporting documentation.
• General HR tasks such as advising on employment related matters, performance reviews and remuneration processes.
• Support regional (Asia Pacific and ANZ) HR initiatives and projects.
• General Office administration duties including ordering office suppliers and stationery and organising team building activities.

Candidate attributes required:

• Previous demonstrated experience in a similar role with proficient knowledge of NZ and ideally, also Australian employment legislation.
• Competent in writing policies, employment agreements and variations letters.
• Adept at working on projects, roll-outs, and different IT systems & platforms.
• Proven ability to build and maintain strong and positive relationships.
• Excellent communication, organisational, interpersonal and presentation skills.
• An outgoing “can do” personality and flexible, collaborative approach to work.
• Highly motivated, with the energy and ambition to make a difference and the personal drive to learn and grow.
