Job Description
Determines and enters the Forecast of assigned OE account(s) into the Supply Chain Systems and assures availability of all assigned articles along entire supply chain. This position is responsible for creating the Sales Forecast with direct OE customer contact and in collaboration with KAMs and Marketing Intelligence sources.
The position supports OE Key Account Managers in the Americas with Logistics and Supply Chain activities and actively participates in improvement projects.
1. Forecasting Original Equipment Sales for assigned accounts together with Key Account Managers (KAM) and Customers in a collaborative OE sales forecasting process. Analyze release variations from current forecast and maintain on-going contact with OE customer analyst.
2. Receive, enter and manage customer call offs and ensure order placement, management and execution. Support customer 24/7 with issues in execution as needed.
3. Responsible for customer communication regarding supply subjects like capacity studies and fulfilment capability of demand variation as well as answering supply chain related tickets as well as portal requests. Responsible to collect significant OE business information to communicate to the OE KAM organization. Track performance ratings and dispute as necessary after analyses and argumentation preparation.
4. Weekly updates of Production-Sales-Inventory (PSI) files to communicate the need for (replenishment) shipments and track that the plant’s production plan and shipment execution are meeting the required inventory parameters.
5. As necessary, communicate with plant Supply Chain Planners to discuss market environment, demand trends, status of open issues/projects, improvement processes.
6. Mitigate supply risks by discussing production priority and choosing appropriate modes of transportation if needed or/and recommend to the KAM discussing with the customer mitigation of the supply bottleneck.
7. Manage the Life Cycle of the articles from Article creation over confirming launch readiness and balance out logistics for customers’ programs including start up dates, PSIs, internal/external systems requirements, Traffic, pre-build shipments and packaging requirements.
8. Reviewing the age of the active stock and taking appropriate action to safeguard supply and find disposition of aging or phased out stock in coordination with the Life Cycle Coordinator and the warehouse/ supply chain teams.
9. As applicable, monitor the customer’s stock levels in Consignment or on the yard.
10. Review process for costly inefficiencies. E.g. Review Detention issues, strive for optimal and balanced load sizes, considering FTL/LTL or alternative delivery modes and look for solutions for systematic issues causing extra cost.
11. Support Plant Operations and OE Key Account Management with Logistics & Supply Chain activities & projects.
