Job Description:

We’re looking for a Senior PHP developer to help deliver our clients needs. ValEx is a tool that helps our client as a collateral management platform supporting valuation assessment, connecting to all major valuation providers (think the Big 4 banks, Insurers, real estate agents and valuation houses) offering real-time compliance and quality control.

You will work as part of a scrum development team to achieve strong technical solutions to our business problems, provide mentoring to more junior developers while ensuring a high quality of stability and product delivery.

Key Requirements

To be successful in this role the key competencies required include:

• PHP and/or Java Spring/Spring boot and ReactJS experience – will consider a strong Java Engineer with no PHP experience who’s willing to help maintain the PHP stack while we replace it
• Experience in building JSON/RESTful web services
• Ability to help guide a development team to meet our clients and internal product requirements.
• Good understanding of cloud based web application architecture and micro-services patterns.
• Diagnosis and refactoring to optimize the performance of Applications.
• Experience in working in Agile SDLC environments.
• Experience in DevOps, Application Monitoring Tools (AppDynamics) and log aggregation tools (Splunk).
• Strong communication skills
• Help cultivate a collaborative working environment with a growing team by working with creatives, developers, user experience leads, and producers to conceptualize, build, test and release products.
• Provide good technical guidance to project team members within the organization so that their abilities and the overall project quality are enhanced.

Job Qualifications:

• Computer Science or related degree desirable
• Experience as a senior PHP devleoper with commercial experience
• Highly Desirable: Test Driven Development and pair programming experience
