Campus Collaboration: Entrepreneurship programs supported and run by Cornell’s Center for Regional Economic Advancement requires our team to work with people and departments across Cornell and organization outside of the university, depending on the scope of the entrepreneurship program. Success Factors: A strong candidate will have the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks at any given time, to work independently, but also within a large cross-functional team. Summary of Position Responsibilities: As part of the Program Operations Team, each Project Associate is assigned a portfolio of entrepreneurship programs, depending on size and scope. While Program Directors are accountable for setting the strategy and desired outcomes for each entrepreneurship program, the Project Associate is integral to the process and acts as a sounding board for strategy and defining outcomes.Each Project Associate is responsible for laying out the processes and tactics that will allow us to achieve those objectives as efficiently as possible and oversee the execution of those plans. In this role, the Project Associate has responsibilities such as, but not limited to: Developing project plans based on the strategy and desired outcomes established by the Program Directors for the entrepreneurship programs in their portfolio. Outline tasks and work to be done, set deadlines, assign resources, etc. Managing day to day operational aspects of each program. Whenever possible, leverage additional support by assigning and overseeing tasks to student employees. Tracking the execution of the project plans through a close collaboration with our marketing, events, and finance teams to fulfill the agreed upon deliverables for each program. Clearly communicating project scope, goals, and responsibilities to staff. Resolve or escalate issues as necessary. Responsible for material management for each assigned entrepreneurship program: oversee and ensure data and materials are complete, current, and organized in a consistent fashion. Prepare and ensure timely submission of impact and progress reports for funders and stakeholders. Contribute to the development of content copy for program websites. Evaluating processes for continuity, compliance, and best practices. Identify and implement appropriate improvements and solutions – sharing those learnings across the Program Operations Team to ensure adoption across programs. Traveling for events and meetings throughout the year may be required. Leading the recruiting, hiring, training, and supervision of student employees. Required Qualifications: Experience in and/or demonstrated commitment to supporting diversity, equity, access, inclusion, and wellbeing. Bachelor’s degree with at least 2-4 years’ administrative management experience and/or project management experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
