OVERVIEW

Reporting to the Vice President and General Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support for Administration and Human Resources Departments and the Site Management Team and running weekly payroll for all unionized employees.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Processing weekly payroll for unionized employees of the Mill, Woodlands, and Deer Lake Power
• Answer CRA inquiries, issue ROE’s as required and T4’s annually, remit payroll tax
• Performs administrative duties for General Manager and Site Management Team. Responsibilities include organizing meetings, managing calendars, preparing and distributing reports.
• Provides support to the Human Resources Manager by administering programs for non-union employees for payroll, benefits and pension, performance reviews, and vacation. Responsibilities also include assisting in the recruiting process.
• Administration of Cabin Permits
• Arrange travel for all employees and manage reporting of related expenses.
• Work with Head Office, employees, and the general public to answer or direct enquiries.
• Organize annual employee events.
• Other payroll and administrative duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS

• Post-Secondary education in Business/Office Administration with five years experience in an office environment with a focus on payroll
• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team and be able to manage multiple priorities on an on-going basis.
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office and other computer programs.

Successful candidate will be required to submit a Certificate of Conduct from a local police agency or the RCMP before commencing employment.
