About the Role | Mō te Tūranga

Vineonline is Countdown’s only pure play liquor retailer and operates as a standalone business within the framework of CountdownX. We are a customer focused business who have built one of New Zealand’s largest multi-channel liquor businesses to a diverse range of customers, some of whom have been with Vineonline for over 20 years!

Leading the Vineonline team as eCommerce Manager – Vineonline, you’ll have overall responsibility for the digital, warehouse, merchandising, ecommerce and business performance of the team. Ensuring the fiscal, team and strategic deliverables are achieved by all channels within Vineonline.

About You | Mōu

You’ll come armed with strong commercial acumen and stakeholder engagement and management expertise. You will be someone with charisma and the ability to motivate teams to meet growth targets and find solutions to problems with a continuous improvement mindset. You will also be someone able to deliver high quality results under pressure and possess a strong desire to succeed!

Specifically you will be responsible to:

  • Ensure achievement of key Budget metrics for all channels and the overall Vineonline business including Revenue, Net Contribution, Margin and EBIT (both monthly and annual targets)

  • P&L ownership, expense approvals and budget expenditure.

  • Assisting with the Vineonline pricing strategy, aimed at achieving maximum margins whilst retaining competitiveness in market place.

  • Ownership of the sales performance and budget for all channels across Vineonline

  • Assisting & managing the growth and health of the Vineonline customer database,.

  • Ensuring the growth of the Outbound Customer base and also the B2B customer base from scratch in a highly competitive market.

  • Ensuring Vineonline is compliant with liquor legislations and licensing.

  • Ensuring import licenses are maintained and managed with border control.

  • Escalation of any significant operational impacts to Countdown stakeholders.
