Contra Costa County is recruiting to fill regular, full time Computer Operations Analyst positions. This recruitment was requested to fill vacancies in the Department of Information Technology, however the eligible list from this recruitment may be used for future vacancies in other county departments as well.
The Department
The Department of Information Technology provides a full range of Information Technology services to the entire Contra Costa organization. Our team manages the central corporate computing complex, a countywide Wide Area Network (WAN), and numerous Local Area Networks (LANs). We provide business and technical consulting services to departments and managers throughout the organization.
The County has a reputation for being a leader in the field of technology. Our breakthrough work within client technology has been shared throughout the world by both the private and public sectors.
Our Operations staff operates the Data Center 24 hours a day, Monday through Friday. Operations staff are responsible for the hardware and operating systems software on these platforms and perform the Database Administration duties to support the databases on these systems.

Minimum Qualifications
License Required: Possession of a valid California motor vehicle operator’s license. Out of state valid motor vehicle operator’s license will be accepted during the application process.
Education: Possession of a high school diploma, GED equivalency, or high school proficiency certificate supplemented by twelve college semester units or fifteen college quarter units in information processing, computer operations, and/or computer science related classes or equivalent vocational training.
Experience: Two (2) years of full-time, or its equivalent, experience as a senior computer operator in an information technology environment.
