The Coventry University Group offers a leading approach to teaching and learning in higher education. It offers a range of vocationally relevant higher education courses as well as a portfolio of professional qualifications delivered both face-to-face and online. We aim to deliver student education, which is active, social, applied and inclusive.
Peoples Future Limited is a dedicated subsidiary within the Coventry University Group and seeks to appoint a full time Senior Teaching Fellow in Nutrition to contribute to the provision of high-quality teaching within the School of Life Sciences. You will join our highly regarded and established team of academics, delivering on our portfolio of public health, nutrition, food science and food safety undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in our modern facilities at the main Coventry University campus. Applications are particularly welcomed from candidates who have full registration with the Association for Nutrition (RNutr). Successful candidates will also hold appropriate qualifications in subjects such as human nutrition, nutrition and health or food science.
The successful candidate will share our passion for delivering a positive student experience that puts excellence in teaching and learning at the heart of everything we do and will be able to demonstrate significant knowledge in your area of specialisation. You will be expected to support the design and delivery of teaching that is engaging, innovative and responsive that achieves excellent student learning outcomes.
Senior Teaching Fellows will undertake teaching, curriculum development, and course co-ordination supporting the development and delivery of undergraduate, postgraduate and professional programs and other core activities, and ensure that students have an effective learning experience. Senior Teaching Fellows will also lead aspects of the student learning experience including the leadership of staff teams, modules and courses.
Previous experience of teaching within a Higher Education Institution is desirable but not essential. Coventry University offers academic support and professional development support and provides the opportunity for staff without a recognised teaching qualification to undertake the PGCE. Applications from less experienced applicants will also be considered, but appointment may be made at the teaching fellow level.
