ONLINE MARKETING EXECUTIVE – 3-MONTH TEMPORARY CONTRACT

My client, a Galway City based, 3rd level organisation, seeks to hire an experience Online Marketing Executive, initially on a 3-month temporary contract via CPL. you will be responsible for supporting the Online Marketing Officer in the planning and delivery of the university’s annual ad campaign, along with maintaining the University’s presence on social networking channels. This will suit someone based in Galway City, willing to work onsite with the ability to start on 30/5/22.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Working with the marketing and communications teams, and wider university Community, in posting digital content to social media channels, utilising existing social media tools.
• Support the flow of university news to a wide range of social networking channels.
• Support the online implementation of university brand guidelines and delivery of university branding projects, through application of brand principles on digital channels.
• Assisting the Online Marketing Officer by supporting the web development strategy – setting up websites for various University Units to overhaul their online presence.
• Assist in implementing digital components already designed and developed across the University web platforms
• Analyse web analytics tools and help to produce reports evaluating the effectiveness of the websites and online marketing channels.
• Utilise a keen creative eye to stage photographs and videos.
• Produce high-end video content through the use of Photoshop/Dreamweaver or similar.
• Edit existing content, such as videos and graphics, to repurpose them for social channels.
• Design and create social content, hero images, landing pages and other formats of digital content for a variety of units.
• Produce high quality retouched social content.
• Other activities as may be deemed relevant to support the University’s online marketing activity.

REQUIREMENTS

• At a minimum, passes in 5 subjects at Leaving Certificate level (or equivalent)
• A recognised post Leaving Certificate administrative/office technology qualification.
• Excellent IT skills with proficiency in M/S Office suite
• A minimum of two years employment experience which demonstrates a high level of administrative support in a demanding office environment.
• Experience in Adobe Creative Suite products such as InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects and Premiere or equivalent for development of graphics and image editing
• Good knowledge of HTML, an advantage
