Here’s the Gist:
Join the pack at the JP! As the Senior Manager for Crystal Growth Process Engineering, you will work in close coordination with our Facilities, CG Operations, Durham CG Engineering, Automation, and Tool Install teams to develop our Siler City, NC location. Ultimately responsible for all CG Engineering activities at that location.

This posting is for a position that will directly support operations at the John Palmour Manufacturing Center for Silicon Carbide, our expansion site in Siler City, NC. The person in this role will train at our Durham, NC headquarters initially.

The Day-to-Day

• Defines business unit processes for key expansion activities

• Owns key deliverables and report out of progress to team members and management

• Proactively identify risks and roadblocks; works with team members to mitigate

• Project management oversite of key Chatham Station Start Up deliverables

• Process Qualification planning and execution

• Proactively drive change to ensure success of the project, the team, and the business 

This Job is Right for You if You Have (Minimum Requirements):

• BS in an Engineering Discipline, Materials Science, or Equivalent

• >8 years in a management role within an engineering environment

• Demonstrated ability to operate in a fast paced, highly dynamic environment, at both a detailed execution level and a strategic level

• Previous high-volume manufacturing experience   

• Excellent communication and time management skills

• Experience working in a matrixed environment with the ability to influence and gain commitments without direct supervisor authority 

• Willing and open to local domestic travel on a limited basis between multiple expansion sites in North Carolina

Preferred qualification:

• Previous semiconductor facility construction/startup a plus

• 5-10 years of experience managing large, interdependent projects

• Experience with high tech equipment and engineering practices

This role may require additional duties and/or assignments as designated by management.
