Overview

The Marketing Communications Manager is responsible for executing communications programs and strategy for the company ensuring maximum media exposure. The individual will partner across the organization to create global communication strategies and deliverables that align to business goals. The candidate must possess public relations experience with a proven track record of success in garnering substantial media impressions as well as delivering top-tier media and publicity results.

Responsibilities

• Execute global communications strategy and programs and manage media relations, public relations, publicity and corporate communication endeavors

• Production and approvals of press releases, photography, press kits, and other tools necessary to communicate company image, product, and spokespeople

• Drive customer content creation (case studies/testimonials) from start to finish

• Cultivating & building relationships with media, bloggers, influencers & emerging talent

• Manage Crestron’s technology award program

• Work with internal stakeholders and external agencies to develop content

• Write and/or review all press materials

• Track all goals weekly and ensure they are being met or exceeded

Qualifications

• 6-9 years’ marketing communications experience

• Degree preferably in marketing, communications, public relations or journalism

• Ability to execute global PR strategies and plans

• Highly skilled at developing written communications and case studies

• Previous experience managing campaigns of major product launches—from preparing media kits to orchestrating press events (preferably for a technology company)

• Collaborative, team player with a high degree of initiative, drive, accountability, judgment, innovation, creativity and flexibility

• Outstanding writer, editor and grammar cop

• Adept at working with journalists, editors, and bloggers working on deadline

• Ability to evaluate and execute best practices

• Strong knowledge and understanding of B2B, B2C, and Channel marketing (Tech experience is a plus)

• Proficient in measuring and reporting on the progress of public relations initiatives against goals.

• Ability to self-manage and prioritize deadlines

• Experience working with cross-functional teams and multiple departments.

• Travel as needed: 20%
