Overview
The Paid Media Specialist manages and coordinates all paid advertising initiatives for the business. This position will be an integral part of the digital team by helping to drive growth through the development of our brand as well as the implementation and management of high impact, lead generation activities.
Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
At the direction of the Director of Digital, manage and coordinate advertising initiatives as it relates to a larger B2B and B2C strategy
Responsible for the day-to-day implementation and optimization of paid marketing activities across digital channels
PPC client campaign setup, management, and client consulting for various types of paid ad spending – Google, as well as paid social sites like Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, etc.
Provide trend insights and drivers of performance that tie back to specified account KPIs
Explore and recommend ongoing testing opportunities, including A/B landing page tests, BETA tests, ad copy tests, audience targeting, day parting, various bid models, additional vendor utilization, Paid Social, Display, Video experience preferred
Partner and collaborate to build acquisition campaigns to drive omnichannel growth
Optimize campaigns to meet the need and direction of the client
Use Google Analytics to evaluate search campaigns by providing regular reporting, analysis and recommendations
Conduct ongoing keyword research and selection for pay-per-click campaigns and to maximize the effectiveness of campaigns
Stay up to date on the latest digital trends, tools and best practices and share information with other members of the digital team
Ensure all aspects of campaigns are properly tracked and trafficked
Develop optimization strategies that increase the company’s search engine results rankings
Research SEO keywords to use throughout the company’s website and marketing materials
Perform any needed tasks around doing organic SEO efforts for client websites
Set measurable goals that demonstrate improvement in marketing efforts
Collaborate with digital and creative teams to write compelling and high-quality website content, including blog posts and page descriptions
Update content and website links for maximum optimization and search engine rankings
Qualifications
Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Experience with PPC/Paid Ad Management, email marketing/demand generation, and/or SEO content strategy
Experience with and knowledge of online marketing and paid search advertising set-up and coordination (Google Ads, Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, etc.)
The ideal candidate would be data-driven and completely capable of managing multiple projects and prioritizing tasks for many clients at one time
Possess an analytical mindset that has experience tracking and working toward KPIs
Understanding of search engine algorithms and ranking methods
Knowledge of keyword research and data mining tools
Maintain expert knowledge of Google Ads and paid social best practices, while continuing to recommend new platforms and channels for greater overall reach and improved conversions
Able to complete competitive analysis of other companies within the industry
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience with WordPress
Ability to multi-task in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment
Education and Experience:
2+ years of experience managing Paid Search, Online Display and/or Social Ad campaigns along with SEO
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or a related field
Meta Business Suite: 2+ years
Google Analytics: 2+ years
