CSR Limited Looking for National Sales Manager – Auckland at Takanini, Auckland Full Time

We are seeking to appoint an astute and people-oriented leader to manage the sales and operational performance (financial & non-financial) for New Zealand through preparation and implementation of strategic and tactical plans to deliver agreed objectives.

Key accountabilities of the role will include:

• Analyse market opportunity & business performance with financial data & reporting systems
• Assist in the development of a strategic plan to drive category sales and margin growth .
• Facilitate team’s development of budgets & strategies for execution over future periods
• Drive a high-performance culture by setting clear objectives for all team members
• Execute sales & marketing aligned to business strategy
• Drive & Champion Project tracking implementation and quality CRM usage within the NZ Sales team.
• Develop & implement actions to deliver agreed goals & rectify divergence to plan
• Effectively communicate current business position
• Identify key external influencers and decision makers and respond accordingly
• Establish & maintain strategic customer relationships
• Ensure customer account plans & call cycles are implemented, actioned & monitored
• Ensure appropriate debtor management & performance
• Drive constructive culture across region & state
• Demonstrate leadership over workplace health, safety & environment
• Identify opportunities to build & grow our business across segment and execute them
• Develop skills & experiences of team members to nurture future leaders
• Champion agreed National initiatives, Marketing campaigns and New Product Development (NPD)
• Comply with WHSE authorities in accordance with the responsibility’s matrix 
• With a strong track record in customer value creation, sales and business growth; you will bring exceptional business development and sales management expertise and influencing capability to get the best results. Furthermore, you will with drive effective sales and marketing strategies. Ultimately this role must maximise the sustainable gross margin earned by the business.

To succeed in this role, you must have the following:

• Minimum 7 years’ experience in senior sales management including a track record of successfully managing a sales team for at least 5 years
• Formal business qualifications in administration, sales or relevant field
• Demonstrated business acumen and P&L responsibility
• Strong strategy development and execution
• Demonstrated ability to build strategic internal and external relationships
• Change Management and leadership skills
• Track record in talent management and development
• Extensive analytical capability, including forecasting, reporting and budgeting skills
• Strong negotiation skills and contract management
• Desirable – experience with CRM software, e.g. SAP. 

This role is varied and challenging, requiring an individual who is results focused, with proven leadership performance. Coaching and motivating teams in achievements of goals is a key expectation of this role. Your ability to work autonomously, yet in a consultative manner will also be imperative to your success in this role. We are seeking a high energy, sales focussed individual with demonstrated success in a similar position (exposure to the building products space will be viewed favourably).
