Power BI Developer

We are looking for a Business Intelligence (BI) Developer to create and manage BI and analytics solutions that turn data into knowledge. In this role, one should have a background in data and business analysis with experience in creating visualizations. One would deliver end-to-end solutions to make information accessible, reliable, and actionable and perform deep and thorough data analysis.

Role & Responsibilities

• Deliver end-to-end solutions
• Define data requirements
• Design data models
• Develop ETLs
• Implement business logic into the data processes
• Data Visualization: build custom and ad hoc reports / dashboards
• Analyze complex datasets (SQL)
• Answer business questions using data
• Responsible for the full life cycle development, implementation, production support, and performance tuning of the Data Warehouse and support its integration with other systems. This includes the design and the implementation of processing data from several sources into and out of the data warehouse.
• Support of various development teams, data scientists, analysts, product managers, and other customers within the company to use the data for analytic and operational purposes and to drive improvement in R&D, Operations, Product, and Marketing.
• Good in identifying the requirements and finding the system requirements.
• Merge and Append Queries in Power BI or Tableau.
• Knowledge on Gateway operations.
• Create Chart Visualizations and interactive Charts, Creating Power View Slicers.
• Using Tiles and Power View Filters and connecting slicers to more than one table.
• Adhere to the information security policies of the organization and inform appropriate authorities in case of any violations or exceptions found

Competencies and Technical Skills

• Highly skilled with visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau is must.
• Good listening and communication skills.
• Strong attention to details and numbers is a must.
• Should possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of all or few analytical tools such as SPSS /R/Python is a must.
• Knowledge and understanding of quantitative analysis is must and statistical analysis is preferred.
• Building Analysis Services reporting models
• Adept in developing, publishing, and scheduling Power BI reports as per the business requirements.
• Developing visual reports, dashboards and KPI scorecards using Power BI desktop.
• Connecting to data sources, importing data, and transforming data for Power BI.
• Able to implement row level security on data and have an understanding of application security layer models in Power BI
• Proficient in making DAX queries in Power BI desktop
• Expertise in using advance level calculations on the data set.
• Able to integrate Power BI reports into other applications using embedded analytics like Power BI service (SaaS), or by API automation.
• Also, one must be experienced in developing custom visuals for Power BI.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint and familiarity with SQL is preferred.
• Be a good team player.
