Job Details:

As part of the Engineering Team, the Senior Device Software Engineer is responsible for the developing software for a transport ticketing systems around the world. The Senior Device Software Engineer will work with the team through the full development lifecycle, working closely with the customer and other stakeholders through to acceptance.

Role Responsibilities:

• Embedded device development of real time systems for Automatic fare collection.
• Work with systems analysts in problem investigation, analysis, solution determination and associated task estimation.
• Work collaboratively on requirements, design, implementation, review, test and acceptance following all designated standards and development guidelines.
• Work productively and with minimal management supervision, both as part of a team as well as independently.
• Analyze available frameworks and technical solutions and make justified recommendations to the Engineering Team
• Provide guidance and mentoring to junior engineers and other members of the Engineering Team
• Consults with hardware engineers to evaluate hardware/software interfaces and optional performance requirements.
• Develops technical and cost data and assists in writing new business proposals.

About You:

The successful candidate will have a Bachelors Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline with a minimum of 5 years in a similar role.

Technical skills:

• Strong experience with C, C++, Java.
• Ability to develop software in embedded Linux, Windows, Android for X86 and ARM.
• Excellent knowledge of building distributed multithreaded near real-time systems
• Good networking knowledge
• Ability to solve complex problems and design and develop embedded device applications.
