Cubis Systems Hiring for Trainee Health & Safety Coordinator Job at Roscommon , Ireland Full Time

Reporting to the Health & Safety Manager, the Trainee Health & Safety Coordinator will coordinate and administrate Health & Safety issues across a multi-site manufacturing business to establish, coordinate and monitor standards, processes, communications, training, and systems to ensure all responsibilities associated with Health & Safety at the Cubis, Roscommon site are adhered to.

This is an entry level H&S trainee position and as part of this role, you will receive training and exposure to the following duties & responsibilities:

· Provide information and instruction on H&S issues at our Cubis, Roscommon site

· Work with the H&S and Operations team to learn and understand the role of Health & Safety Coordinator.

· Review and modify as required, Risk Assessment, Works Instruction, and Training leaflets; in line with the CRH 16 Life Saving Rules

· Preparation and integration of safety documentation into the safety system

· Report and investigate incidents, injuries and hazards and implement control measures

· Work closely with the H&S Manager to complete statutory notifications to the Health & Safety Authority and all relevant incident / accident reporting

· Administer and review contractor management procedures and policy & training

· Review contractor documentation and method statements (RAMS), prior to works commencing

· Monitor compliance with H&S policy and procedures

· Monitor chemical safety systems

· Promote H&S awareness in conjunction with the Operations team

· Work on existing and develop new safety improvement projects at the Roscommon site

· Conduct safety audits

· Monthly metrics reporting data

· Organisation of Health & Safety training at Cubis, Roscommon

· Ensure records of statutory inspections/compliance requirements are kept for all relevant activities and plan equipment at all sites

· 16 Life Saving Rules training

· Attend Best Practise Meetings, when required

· Work with the wider H&S team, travelling to other locations as and when required to aid learning and development

The successful candidate must possess the following skills and competencies:

· Successful completion of a Leaving Cert

· A willingness and desire to build a career in Health & Safety however no experience is required

· Basic computer skills and experience in Microsoft packages would be desirable

· Candidates must be able to communicate effectively and collaborate with multiple stakeholders across a global business

· Candidates must have strong organisational and planning skills
