Role Purpose

In this crucial role, you will serve as a key liaison between the finance department and various business units, primarily focusing on the Retail division. Your primary responsibility will be to provide comprehensive financial insights and guidance, contributing to the overall business performance. By fostering strong relationships and delivering critical financial analysis, you will help drive strategic decision-making and ensure the achievement of performance targets.

Responsibilities

Business Partnering:

• Establish and foster strong, trusted relationships with the Retail business unit
• Provide regular, insightful financial performance reports and operational drivers
• Coordinate financial and budget activities to meet performance targets
• Actively engage with business units to grasp performance trends and drivers

Budget & Reforecasting:

• Lead the annual budget and re-forecast cycle in collaboration with the Senior Finance Business Partner
• Ensure realistic and achievable budget targets and KPIs
• Utilise systems to enhance planning and budgeting processes

Board Reports

• Prepare comprehensive Board/Executive reports with analytical reviews and variance analysis
• Outline key budget and re-forecasting outlooks in Board Papers

Performance Reporting

• Provide management reports and advice for effective financial management
• Evaluate change projects and contribute to the development of strategic responses
• Support the organization’s strategic plans and business development initiatives
• Undertake specific projects as required

About You

• CA/CPA qualified
• Expertise in management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and data analysis
• Preferably experienced in the Financial Services, professional services or legal industry
• Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders
