Who We Are

The Global Talent Development Program team works on the J-1 visa sponsorship for international Interns, Trainees, and Research Scholars coming to the United States as part of the Department of State’s BridgeUSA program. We process J-1 Visa sponsorship applications, monitor programs, support participants hailing from 100 countries, and manage relationships with over 900 partners and U.S. companies hosting these participants.

Who You Are

• To be successful in this job, you must be a highly organized, detail-oriented, problem-solver who can be a flexible team player with strong written and verbal cross-cultural communication skills and who feels comfortable with periods of a high volume of repetitive, administrative tasks.
• Frequent travel to the home office in Washington, DC is expected, so only candidates located in the DMV region or those willing to relocate will be considered.
• You must enjoy administrative responsibility and customer service and have a passion for our mission of international exchange.

What You’ll Do

• You will provide administrative support to help ensure international participants have the resources needed to prepare for their arrival to the U.S. and to help support their compliance while on program.
• At any given time, you will be responsible for preparing visa document shipments, payment processing, updating participant files, organizing data, and responding to general program inquiries from participants and U.S companies (phone and e-mail) about the BridgeUSA Program, visa regulations and application processes.
• You will report to the Senior Visa Specialist and work in close collaboration with the other Visa Specialists.
