We are an established international import / export freight forwarding business who continues to grow and develop. The owners are directly involved in day to day operations and supporting all members of the team. Alongside our NZ office based in Wiri, we have offices in Australia and the Pacific, and also run a team of off shore staff who support the bulk of our operational work.
We are looking for an experienced Export Operator to join our small fun team, and grow with us. Renumeration will be based on experience – for the right person the only limit is your own aspirations.
The role
Your core function will be to start every day thinking about our exports to the Pacific Islands. You will also be the main point of contact for our existing import clients who do the odd export, directly handling the booking, organising the export clearance and updating the client.
This involves;
We already have a full offshore team that manages export bookings, pick up’s etc, and a great depot providing timely check in’s. We also have two existing team members based in Auckland who manage the direct personal effects clients and are the point of contact for our Pacific Island business clients. We also have two in house customs brokers. You will be well supported by the existing team!
Your role is essentially being the main export co-ordinator, as the business owners are currently acting in this capacity and the don’t have the necessary time to do this well.
Who we are looking for
Someone with knowledge of sea freight export operations. Air freight knowledge a bonus.
Cargowise usage and experience is a must.
Knowledge and ability with Microsoft Office programs.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
Someone who prides themselves on their work ethic and isn’t afraid of hard work.

A Wiri based location with car parking, we have no intention of moving from the Wiri area.
We run a twice yearly bonus scheme, once at end of financial year (ours is June / July to match our overseas office), and the other time at Christmas.
We are a hard working team, who share the odd pizza lunch, laugh at ourselves and each other, and enjoy the pressure and challenges of freight.
