Position Summary

CVS Health is seeking a Coordinator, Special Investigation Unit, to join our team! The Coordinator, SIU is responsible for:

• The initial intake and documentation of complaints received on allegations of

• fraud and abuse.

• Assessing the urgency of calls and referring issues on a timely basis to Investigator, Senior Investigator or SIU Manager.

• Managing routing calls to other departments when an issue is not an SIU problem.

• Providing general advice to employees on the proper handling of allegations and the services available through SIU.

• Assisting Investigators in the planning and conducting of complex and sensitive investigations.

• Conducting fact-finding research (e.g., contacts courts to get court documents, contact providers/members/plan sponsors, researches databases, contacts other Aetna departments), evaluate and extract pertinent investigative data and develop materials in detailed format to ensure evidence is fully supportable.

• Maintain all investigative files.

• Utilizes Medical Directors and other Aetna personnel to clarify medical necessity and billing appropriateness.

• Handling telephone and written inquiries from provider, members, plan sponsors, law enforcement agencies, etc.

• Other responsibilities as assigned

Required Qualifications

• 1+ years claim processing and/or customer service experience

• 1+ years of experience handling multiple assignments

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent work experience

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$18.50 – $37.02

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
