Daiso Japan Hiring for Payroll Assistant Job at Remote Full Time

We are seeking a bright, detail-oriented, and hardworking individual to join our Payroll team! This is a hands-on position responsible for payroll. Although this role is remote, the team may meet in person one or two times a month at the stores in the Bay Area.

Daiso Japan, the largest and most popular $1.75 variety store in Japan, is hiring for our Human Resource department! We are a fast-growing company with over 80 stores in the United States and over 5,800 stores worldwide.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and issue manual payroll checks as necessary.
• Maintain accurate accruals of vacations, sick leave, attendance, and benefits.
• Investigate and resolve any issues, questions, or discrepancies of paychecks in a timely, accurate and confidential manner.
• Assist with new hire orientation and onboarding process
• Assist the day-to-day administration of Human Resources policies, procedures and programs to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and corporate objectives
• Support internal and external inquiries and requests related to the HR department.
• Prepare various payroll reports for management.
• Assist with day to day operations of the payroll functions and duties.

Qualifications:

• Associates degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field
• Working knowledge of ADP payroll system preferred
• Ability to listen, communicate and follow-up effectively
• Very organized with impeccable attention to detail
• Work under pressure with frequent interruptions and work in fast-paced demanding environment
• Ability to handle data with confidentiality
• Data entry experience preferred
• Must be located in the San Francisco Bay Area
