Warehouse Team Member – Christchurch

Due to increasing demand Daltons South Island Warehouse, based at Mcleans Island, Christchurch is looking for an additional Warehouse Team Member.

Experience in the following areas is preferred but not essential as training will be provided to the successful applicant:

• Experience with automated processing equipment
• Reading production schedules & plans accordingly to maintain the operation of packaging machinery efficiently.
• Ability to compute rate, ratio & percentages and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
• Planning and time management to ensure machine changeovers happen seamlessly & packaging material is available.
• Forklift Driving including loading and unloading trucks
• Picking and packing orders
• General warehouse duties

The successful applicant will have a positive can-do attitude and a willingness to ensure Daltons customers are well supported with an efficient and friendly delivery service.

Applicants must be reliable, physically fit and able to work as part of a team. Time management skills and understanding of good health & safety practices are essential in fulling this role. Daltons are looking for applicants who understand that customers are key to a successful business.

Hours: Generally Monday to Friday 7.30 am – 5 pm, with longer hours required during spring and other busy periods. Saturday work as required.
