Danone Hiring for Chemistry Analyst Job at Auckland Full Time

As a Chemistry Analyst, you will join our dedicated Chemistry Laboratory team – part of the wider Quality & Food Safety team, located at our Auckland production facility in Airport Oaks.

This is a permanent full-time role working Tuesday – Saturday 7am – 3.30pm, with the main purpose to promote quality and food safety within Danone manufacturing by conducting testing in accordance with approved standards and making recommendations for continuous improvement.

You will:

• Carry out analytical, physical and sensory testing in an accurate and timely manner
• Handle chemicals and consumables, disposal of chemical waste; safely operating lab equipment, maintenance and calibration of equipment
• Ensure adherence to methods and procedures as per ISO17025:2017 and traceability for all work completed
• Participate in audits, Proficiency studies and troubleshooting equipment/methods as required

About you

You must have a tertiary qualification in Food Science or Chemistry. You enjoy working in a detail-oriented environment and are always looking for opportunities to learn and problem-solve.

To be successful you will have:

• Strong Chemistry Laboratory experience (must-have) and working knowledge of HPLC
• Experience working with LIMS in an ISO 17025 accredited lab
• Impeccable attention to details, strong communication skills and ability to multi-task with accuracy
• Competent MS Office skills and ability to adapt to new technologies
• Ability to take ownership of your work and drive for results
• The resilience & flexibility required to succeed in a fast-paced and changing environment
