About the job

We are looking for a Product Development Technologist to join our dedicated Research & Innovation function. You will be part of our Core Milks team, applying your science expertise to delivering projects within our core Infant Formula business through end-to-end product development from concept to launch.

This is a permanent full-time position at our Auckland production facility, working Mon-Fri with flexible working option.

You will:

• Be responsible for Product Development in our Core Milks category – from formulation development through to trials, testing, reporting and audit compliance
• Ensure compliance with Global PD management tools for innovation / renovation projects
• Identify opportunities for innovations that create and add value to the business
• Proactively participate, identify and share relevant best practices within the R&D network regionally and globally
• Be the point of contact for Nutritional advice for our projects, leveraging your expertise and understanding of nutritional guidance

About you

Your passion lies in Product Development through applied scientific research within a commercialised environment. You work well under pressure and are able to communicate to people at all levels.

Ideally you will have:

• A tertiary qualification in Food Science/Technology, Nutrition, Process Engineering or equivalent
• Experience in a Product Development, technical or research role in food/dairy industry, coupled with sound Nutritional knowledge
• Good stakeholder management and communication skills
• A strong willingness to learn, upskill and be a team player
• The resilience & flexibility required to work in a fast-paced and changing environment
