Working as a bridge between application technologies and customer support teams, Platform Management SRE’s work to take customer requirements and business information to support, design or re-design, develop, test and implement solutions. The Core Services Enterprise Tools group are committed to Agile delivery with a focus on Automation and a DevOps approach.

About the Role

In this role as Senior Site Reliability Engineer in the AIOps Platform Management team, you will be providing technical support and expertise, testing new solutions, responding to feedback, and actively participating in future technology road mapping and implementation as well as maintaining and supporting those solutions as they roll throughout our business.

What you’ll do

As Senior Site Reliability Engineer – AIOps Platform Management, you will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

  • Administer and support the AIOps suite of tools at the platform layer
  • Ensure critical integrations and automations are developed and maintained for the AIOps platform toolsets
  • Maintaining and improving existing software
  • Providing technical support and consultancy as required
  • Participating in the evolution of the SRE function and capability

What you’ll bring

What does success look like in this role? You will have a strong IT, business and/ or computer science background; as well as solid technical skills. You will have excellent communication skills, proven ability in continual process improvement and the ability to manage stakeholder expectations. Prior experience with Microsoft, Unix / Linux, automation technologies and python scripting is important and you will ideally have experience working across a large, complex IT organisation, with a broad range of toolsets. Other qualities we are looking for include knowledge of governance and risk management practice in the service industry, and an understanding of Cloud and Cloud adoption. You will be highly adaptable and embrace change, you will promote diversity of thought and you know that making the odd mistake is ok as long as we learn from them. You will be used to dealing with competing priorities and pragmatic about decision making under those circumstances. You’ll be fun, enthusiastic and keen to develop both personally and for the organisation.
