About the Role

As a Datacom Business Analyst within the Application Services team you would engage with our customers from the outset, helping them define objectives and requirements showing leadership and innovation. You would work with our customers to design solutions and the associated programmes of work to deliver the solution in such a way as to maximise customer return on investment. You will have a solid business background, being able to talk the language of your customers so they can see that you have captured their requirements, and they understand the solution you are proposing. You will be equally adept at translating these requirements into technical documents that enable accurate and rapid delivery of quality solutions.

As a Business Analyst your skills will be used across a wide breath of challenging and leading-edge projects. Key day to day tasks might typically include:

• Establishing and driving requirements
• Grooming backlogs
• User experience design
• Establishing user personas and journeys, business rules, optimised processes, data models, decision trees, API and integration points, and any other elements required to bring the requirements to life for all of your interested parties
• Creating documentation i.e. use cases, prototypes, specifications, wireframes, proposals and strategy documents
• Championing user experience fundamentals
• Collaborating with the solutions team in a lead role to design effective solutions
• Facilitating workshops with large groups of customer and internal stakeholders

About you

You will be commercially astute with a solid understanding of software delivery above and beyond the SDLC. This position will see you utilising your expertise to be a champion for our customers, helping them improve their business. This lead role will involve business analysis, requirements gathering, and influencing decisions across the customer’s business and within the project.

Your background

• Business analyst with experience delivering enterprise projects
• Confident in constructing and leading a full array of workshops
• Ability to influence stakeholder relationships and drive conclusions
• Passion for and proven capability in user and/or customer experience design, responsive design, and mobile first concepts
• Excellent documentation and communication skills to ensure clarity and alignment of understanding across the numerous parties
• Proven ability to develop new concepts, design solutions, and shape a project
• Keep up to date with the latest digital technologies and design trends
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams and Waterfall environments
• Passionate about applying your skills to improve our processes and drive team performance
• Change management experience
• Development background and/or knowledge of the SDLC
• Vendor and pre-sales experienced
