Datacom Looking for Intercompany Accountant – Fixed Term at Auckland Central, Auckland, New Zealand Full Time

About The Role

Sitting within the Shared Services function, specifically within the Accounting Services Intercompany team, this role will involve accounting across a range of Datacom companies within Datacom Group. This role is dedicated to the delivery of a process automation project, which is now in its early phase. Further to this, your responsibilities will include:

• Developing a thorough understanding of current intercompany processes and incorporate best practices for future state of the process.
• Becoming the main point of contact for intercompany processes and related issues (intercompany sales, loans, payable settlements, etc).
• Playing a key part in identifying and supporting process improvement in order to create efficiencies through a reduction in manual processes via automation or other means.

This role is a fixed-term opportunity based in our Auckland CBD office, with an end date of 31 March 2024.

What You’ll Bring

We’re looking for a detail-oriented, highly motivated team player with a strong sense of urgency. You’ll be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities shift often, based on operational needs.

• Excellent technical accounting ability
• Advanced Excel skills are required including knowledge of pivot tables, V-lookups, macros and conditional formulas
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with people at any level in the organisation
• Experience handling multiple company entities and multiple currencies.
• Strong system skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and enterprise resource planning software (ERP) – NetSuite preferable
• Experience working either within Datacom or for a similar sized organisation
• Professional qualification (either CA or CPA)
