Your tasks
Role Overview
- This is an exciting opportunity where you would be responsible for leading the day-to-day operation of the Customs brokerage team who provide customs clearance and brokerage services on behalf of our IE branch networks and customers, ensuring the Customs Brokerage Team operates productively and efficiently, meeting customer needs and continuously improving processes and procedures.
- Hours are 0900 – 1730
- Hybrid working role
What will you be doing?
- Full responsibility of the management and development of the employees within your team, such as performance management, absenteeism, disciplinary and other HR processes
- To understand IE Customs processes and your clients needs
- To ensure work is carried out in accordance with compliance rules and regulations
- Monitor and support the team to ensure they consistently meet KPIs
- Training and development of the team
- To ensure all entries that have the necessary data are cleared on the day of arrival
- Ensure all queries and complaints are investigated and responded to promptly, both from external and internal customers
- Able to resolve queries and complaints directly with the client on the phone
- Proactive communication to all IE branches
Requirements

- You have the ability to fully understand and meet customers’ wants and needs in the most efficient, cost-effective way.
- The ability to develop the potential of others to perform and contribute to the organisation by providing on-going feedback as well as opportunities to learn through information and formal channels.
- Customs qualifications would be very beneficial
- Focused and result driven
- Able to quickly integrate in a team environment
- Able to prioritise and manage multiple tasks, and delegate tasks appropriately
