The Role
We are seeking a
Dispatch Supervisor to join our friendly team in
Auckland, New Zealand.
This position is responsible for the day-to-day management of the dispatch operation ensuring the requirements of the company, external customers and key performance indicators are met daily.
Departmental/Operational key Responsibilities may include:
- Plan, lead and motivate dispatch team in order to meet customer KPI’s and deadlines.
- Monitor overtime and leave adhering to approval levels.
- Actively monitor daily activity, incidents and customer issues and ensure appropriate actions are taken to resolve issues and avoid repeat occurrences.
- Monitor performance of carriers and third party suppliers to ensure we receive the best service possible for our customers.
- Monitor, maintains and continuously improves processes. Suggests opportunities for improvement in IT systems. Challenge current processes to ensure productivity is optimised.
- Carry out operations requirements as required.
Previous Experience / Qualifications / Certifications Preferred:
- Excellent Customer Service skills
- Knowledge of relevant Logistics processes
- Relationship management and influencing skills
- Team management & interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills, highly service orientated
- Advanced computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Exceed WMS etc)
- Sound inventory management knowledge
- Highly organized and capable of multi –tasking
- Strong problem solving and decision making skills are required
- Clean Criminal Record
