As a Patient Safety Attendant, you will play a critical role in continuing the healing mission of Deaconess.
Job Overview:
Patient Safety Attendants provide supervision of critical care patients as delegated by a registered nurse and in cooperation with other team members. Duties performed by Patient Safety Attendants include ensuring and promoting patient safety by providing continuous observation of those patients who are considered “High Risk” of falling, injuring themselves, etc. PSA calls the RN immediately if the patient becomes more confused, agitated, or exhibits any other symptoms that would require assistance from the RN. Reports any changes in patient condition, episodes of wandering or attempted elopement, escalating behavior, pain or discomfort to nursing staff.

We are taking necessary precautions to keep our candidates and staff safe through the pandemic. Interviews are being conducted in-person while onboarding is being done virtually, both with proper social distancing. We provide you with proper PPE and do our best to keep you safe. Certifications
Basic Life Support: Health Care Provider, within six months of hire.
Education and Experience
The Patient Care Technician position requires the completion of a high school education or equivalent (GED) and be18 years old. Previous patient care or nursing assistant experience desired.
