Apply established principles, concepts, and techniques of the Financial Management occupation. Ensures that all financial transactions are properly and timely recorded, adjusted, and liquidated in the financial management accounting system. Participates in the quality assurance program and supports management with financial systems analysis, automation/systems requirements development, and related operational procedures. Assists management with quality assurance activities by studying accounts, reports, and procedures in the financial management systems. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Specialized Experience: For the GS-05, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to the GS-04 grade level in the Federal service, or comparable in difficulty and responsibility to GS-04 if outside the Federal service. Specialized experience at the GS-05 level is defined as experience inputting financial data. For the GS-07, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to the GS-05 grade level in the Federal service, or comparable in difficulty and responsibility to GS-05 if outside the Federal service. Specialized experience at the GS-07 level is defined as experience inputting financial data; and experience preparing financial transactions. For the GS-09, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service, or comparable in difficulty and responsibility to GS-07 if outside the Federal service. Specialized experience at the GS-09 level is defined as experience inputting financial data; experience preparing financial transactions; and experience with financial reporting, reviewing and analysis. For the GS-11, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service, or comparable in difficulty and responsibility to GS-09 if outside the Federal service. Specialized experience at the GS-11 level is defined as experience inputting financial data; experience preparing financial transactions; experience with financial reporting, reviewing and analysis; and experience applying rules and regulations in implementing operational instructions and procedures and researching and resolving complex financial issues. In addition to meeting the specialized experience requirements, qualified applicants must also possess the quality of experience as it relates to how closely or to what extent an applicant’s background, recency of experience, education, and training are relevant to the duties and responsibilities of the announced position.
